As Manager of Strategic Community Outreach, Amon is responsible for directing internal and external branding, positioning and communications initiatives related to BCBSNC Foundation grantmaking, Signature Programs and other programmatic components.

More about Amon:

Amon joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in 2006 and his responsibilities also include directing corporate Community Relations-based communications initiatives.

Prior to coming to BCBSNC, Amon managed statewide communications and marketing efforts for the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation in Raleigh, helping to position the organization at the forefront of women and infant health issues. Before moving to North Carolina, he spent five years practicing public relations in Washington, D.C., working on behalf of national nonprofit organizations, government agencies and cultural institutions.

His areas of expertise also include large-scale event logistics.

When not at his desk:

Amon can most likely be found spending time with his family, on the golf course or at the movies.
