As Manager of Strategic Community Outreach, Amon is responsible for directing internal and external branding, positioning and communications outreach initiatives related to the BCBSNC Foundation. This includes media relations, speechwriting, Web content, board of directors communications and publication development, among others.

Amon joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in 2006 where his responsibilities also include directing corporate Community Relations-based communications initiatives.

Prior to coming to BCBSNC, Amon managed statewide communications and marketing efforts for the North Carolina Healthy Start Foundation in Raleigh. Before moving to North Carolina, he spent five years practicing public relations in Washington, D.C., working on behalf of international businesses, national nonprofit organizations, government agencies and cultural institutions.

When not at his desk:

Amon can most likely be found spending time with his family, on the golf course or at the movies.
