As Program Manager for the Community Impact through Nonprofit Excellence focus area, Annette leads Foundation efforts in building the capacity of nonprofits in North Carolina.

More about Annette:

Annette joined the BCBSNC Foundation in June 2008. Among her responsibilities, include managing several Signature Programs related to capacity building, including 5 Good Ideas, Healthy Community Institute for Nonprofit Excellence and the Community TIEs Awards Program.

Prior to BCBSNC Foundation, Annette served as an evaluation specialist at Foundation For The Carolinas, in Charlotte, NC; and prior to that, she worked at MDC, Inc., a nonprofit think-tank in Chapel Hill. She has participated in various panels and forums for organizations such as Smart Start of Mecklenburg County, the Center for Nonprofit Success, as well as the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits as a curbside consultant.

Annette is currently earning her certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University and a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Pfeiffer University.

When not at her desk:

Annette enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, reading, traveling, networking and volunteering. She is a member of the American Evaluation Association, the 2006 Class of the Impact Fund for Emerging Philanthropists, and is a founding member of the Next Generation of African-American Philanthropists (NGAAP).
