As Vice President of Operations, Danielle leads the Foundation team in advancing the health and well-being of North Carolinians through outcomes-focused grants and signature programs. In addition, she is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the Foundation including finances, data management, and policies and procedures.
More about Danielle:
Danielle joined the BCBSNC Foundation in June 2003. Over the past six years she has led several key projects including the Foundation's $22 million partnership with the North Carolina Association of Free Clinics. She currently serves on the board of directors of the North Carolina Network of Grantmakers and is a Fellow of the Southeastern Council of Foundation's Hull Leadership Program. In addition, Danielle earned her certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University.
Danielle joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina in 1996. During her first six years with the company she held various positions within the Health Care Services Division. Her responsibilities included managing the Prevention and Health Education team and leading a corporate project focused on enhancing health-related programs and services for employer groups.
Prior to joining BCBSNC, Danielle worked as a consultant for a Massachusetts-based strategic marketing research and consulting firm serving Fortune 500 clients.
When not at her desk:
Danielle stays equally busy outside the office, keeping up with two young children and serving as the leader for her daughter’s Girl Scouts troop. She enjoys making cards and scrapbooking.
