As Health of Vulnerable Populations Program Manager, Katie is responsible for managing responsive grants, as well as supporting the Foundation’s multi-year partnerships that address improving the health outcomes of vulnerable populations served by safety net organizations. She also manages the Breast Health Project, a BCBSNC Signature Program that features the traveling Button Chair Exhibit.

More about Katie:

Before to joining the Foundation in 2008, Katie worked in direct service as part of organizations in California, Michigan, Wisconsin and North Carolina. For five years, she coordinated efforts for food pantries and shelters for Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Prior to that, she managed the volunteer program at the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina in Raleigh.

When not at her desk:

Katie volunteers with a local refugee resettlement program and enjoys exploring North Carolina.
