As Operations Manager, Valerie provides leadership and strategic support for the BCBSNC Foundation's operations, special projects and signature programs. She partners closely with the Foundation team to promote cooperative efforts, performs analytical functions and analyses to support efficient operations and assists in the development of the Foundation's operations goals. She works collaboratively to develop and successfully implement projects or programs, as well as evaluates and assesses project risks and deliverables.

More about Valerie:

Prior to joining the Foundation, Valerie worked for two years in Corporate Communications at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. Prior to that she lived in Chicago where she worked for several years in special events and fundraising for Junior Achievement of Chicago and before that was a business consultant for Perry Johnson, Inc.

When not at her desk:

Currently, Valerie is in the executive MBA program at Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her not-so-spare time, she serves on the fundraising committee for one of her favorite causes, Girls on the Run of the Triangle, plus stays active in her sorority's alumnae chapter. She enjoys running outdoors and spending time with friends.
