Doctors are trained to help the sick and injured. Dr. Susan Weaver and the staff at Alliance Medical Ministry take their training further by reaching out to those who need help but can’t always pay.
A former private practice physician, Dr. Weaver left her practice in 2000, and helped open Alliance, a safety-net provider helping to care for Wake County's uninsured.
Housed in a expansive new clinic space (a former church) and with a focus on preventive care, Alliance is helping to make the concept of a medical home accessible to all.
