Support capacity building and culturally specific training for nonprofit organizations that serve Latinos in North Carolina.

Impact:

BCBSNC Foundation is one of 14 North Carolina grantmakers, including Z. Smith Reynolds and the Triangle Community Foundation, participating in the Hispanics in Philanthropy (HIP) North Carolina Funding Collaborative.

HIP is a national organization with 13 similar collaboratives across the country, each supporting capacity building efforts among Latino-focused nonprofits. BCBSNC Foundation’s $150,000 investment, which was doubled as a result of a matching grant from HIP’s national organization, has helped lead to the more than $1.7 million being awarded to 37 Latino-led groups statewide.
