Who should attend?

At least three members of your team must attend, including the Executive Director and, at minimum, one board member. Registration will not be accepted unless this requirement is met. A team may not exceed four members.

Please list only attendees (up to 4) on this registration. Your contact person is the first attendee listed and will be considered the main contact for the group.

Your registration is not complete until we also receive:

• Completed online registration form
• Completed copy of your organizational pre-assessment
• $150 deposit made payable to BCBSNC Foundation Healthy Community Institute. (Note: the check simply holds your space and will be returned to you after your team completes the Institute.)

Logistics:

HCI is scheduled for May 5-6, 2010 at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center in New Bern, NC. The Institute is held from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the first day and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second day.

• Participants are responsible for their own transportation, lodging and daily parking fees.
• A special rate of $119 per night plus tax at the Hilton New Bern Riverfront is available for a limited number of rooms for participants. You must call the hotel at (252) 638-3585 for overnight reservations. Reduced rates will only be held until April 4. Reference "Healthy Community Institute" when making reservations.

Space for this conference is limited; only 50 organizations will be accepted to the Institute on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to attend the Institute, registering organizations must be committed to making a change in how they are currently operating in order to improve the agency’s effectiveness. Please do not reserve a slot unless every member of your team is dedicated to improving the management of your organization.
