Evaluation of Promising Models to Address Suspensions, Expulsions, and Other Exclusionary Practices in Early Care and Education
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation, in collaboration with North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, is supporting promising, innovative, and strengths-based models aimed at addressing exclusionary practices in early care and education.
The services of a consultant are sought to conduct an evaluation of five promising models supported through this initiative that are working to address suspensions, expulsions, and other exclusionary practices through changes in policies, design of programs, and/or changes in practices aimed at mitigating the conditions that lead to disproportionate disciplinary action, especially among Black children.
Through this evaluative work, we hope to better understand what is working and not working within the promising models as well as implication for replication and broader policy and practice changes.
